Mad Monkey Expands Further Into Vietnam, Launching its Second Location in the Ancient City of Hanoi
Mad Monkey, a leading Southeast Asia-based hostel operator and provider of high-octane, sustainable travel experiences, is opening their second hostel in Vietnam this year. The new property will be located in the heart of Hanoi’s buzzing old quarter, centrally positioned in the popular tourist area of the city. It is set to not only be the biggest Mad Monkey location to date, but also the biggest hostel in Vietnam, comfortably accommodating up to 250 travellers. This move represents another major milestone for Mad Monkey on their journey of being the biggest provider of immersive, socially responsible, and fun experiences for young travellers and digital nomads. Vietnam, December 2022 – Mad Monkey announced the opening of their new Hanoi hostel in an amazing location, right in the centre of the historic old quarter. The newly renovated property is spread over eight floors, offering modern hostel-style dormitory accommodation across a wide variety of rooms. The property features a stunning rooftop bar along with a spacious common area including a bar and restaurant serving local and western favourites and hosting iconic Mad Monkey events. The new location on Ma May street, previously home to the popular Vietnam Backpacker Hostels, has been extended, renovated and had the signature Mad Monkey stamp put on it. The whole property has been fully remodelled with design centering on rustic but modern, industrial elements featuring inspiration from Vietnamese culture with stylised furniture and art pieces. Mad Monkey Hostels Adds New Property to their Philippines Portfolio

Mad Monkey Hostel Set to Reopen in One of the Philippines’ Top-rated Beaches
El Nido, Philippines: Mad Monkey, a leading Southeast Asia-based hostel operator and provider of high-octane, sustainable travel experiences is set to reopen its hostel in the highly-rated Nacpan Beach in El Nido. Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach originally opened its doors back in October 2017, and with its reopening set to happen in two weeks, the hostel is looking forward to welcoming back both old and new guests, with the same Mad Monkey brand of hospitality and the nightly events they are famous for across the country and region. The hostel will offer various accommodation options– from private loft rooms to shared and private dorm rooms. The property will also feature dedicated coworking space, and a beachfront bar and restaurant. Aside from the trademark Mad Monkey experience, the hostel is also proud of supporting local community projects that help elevate and uplift the status of the communities where they are present. Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach is proud to have been involved in building and painting a wall around the local primary school to keep students safe. The hostel is also a regular donor to the feeding program for malnourished kids in Nacpan Beach and is working to deliver clean water projects using deep bore wells to ensure that local families and children have access to clean and potable water. Back in 2018, Mad Monkey Nacpan’s grand opening party was able to generate enough money for computers, a printer, and 70 science books for the local primary school, while the donation to the school back in the Christmas of 2017 ensured that each of its 300 students received 2kg of rice along with either a backpack, a coloring book, or a school kit to support them in their education. Beyond these initiatives, Mad Monkey also spearheads projects that help protect the environment. The hostel runs regular beach clean-ups to remove plastics and other litter from the beach, while we also help to protect the sea turtle nests on our beach and coordinate with the local turtle sanctuary to ensure that these magnificent creatures have a safe place to hatch.
