April: Bangkok & Chiang Mai, Thailand

September: Siem Reap, Cambodia

Festival: Pchum Ben (Cambodian Ancestors’ Day)
Weather: End of rainy season, green & beautiful (24-29°C)

November: Chiang Mai, Thailand

Festival: Yi Peng & Loy Krathong (November 7-8, 2025)
Weather: Cool & dry (20-26°C)

Experience the magic of Chiang Mai in November—Yi Peng and Loy Krathong Festivals deserve a spot in your most memorable travel stories. Though they are two different festivals, they are celebrated at the same time. During Yi Peng, thousands of glowing lanterns light up the sky, while Loy Krathong sees people releasing krathongs (floating baskets) into rivers, lakes, and canals.
