With canal views, stucco-ornamented ceilings, first-class dorms, a hostel bar, free welcome drink upon arrival, and highly accessible to the hippest and famous Berlin landmarks and tourist attractions, including the Jewish Museum and Checkpoint Charlie, no wonder it has received numerous awards. Another one of those amazingly located hostels in Prenzlauer Berg, Pfefferbett Hostel is surrounded by popular bars and restaurants, and the subway right outside will take you directly to touristy sites.
The building is actually a former brewery, and the Berlin hostel’s dorms can sleep up to eight, with its own bathroom and set of lockers. And the special thing about the women’s dorms is they included a hair dryer, cosmetic tissue, and a make-up mirror. How thoughtful and considerate is that?
For fun-loving backpackers, you will enjoy their 24-hour bar and free concerts on Thursdays. For those seeking comfort and relaxation, the hostel has a garden, a terrace facing the views of the south, and an open fireplace to cozy up on cool winter nights. And if you’re the sporty type, engage in international matches of various games: ping-pong, darts, billards, and table soccer.
