Where is Mad Monkey Kuta Lombok?

Kuta is the tourist hub of the island Lombok, just an hour and a half east of Bali. Find us in Kuta along Jl. Mawun in between Kuta Bar and Grill Lombok and TERRA restaurant.

 

How to get to Mad Monkey Kuta Lombok

The easiest way to get to Kuta Lombok is by taking a flight from Bali, Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, to Lombok International Airport, which takes 40 minutes. From the airport, you can take a 30-minute taxi to Mad Monkey.

You can also take a 1.5 hour fast ferry departing from Padang Bai Harbour in Bali to Lembar Harbour in Lombok or take the 5-hour public ferry. From the harbour, you can take a 1-hour taxi to Mad Monkey.

Mad Monkey Kuta Lombok

Location is absolutely perfect, at the end of the main strip where all the best restaurants are! Always full and the staff get everyone together for an activity before everyone heads out to whichever bar is going off that night at 11. Means it's also great if you're here to make the most of the 1st class diving and surf! Book a stay if there's any room, you won't regret it! Bonus for the hot Norwegian rep ;)

A great hostel run by great people. Awan and Elena in particular do an amazing job and all the other local staff are so friendly and helpful. There are always things on in the evenings to give you opportunities to meet people which for me as a solo travelled is perfect. I would highly recommend!

Nice concept of building. Love the pink and blue color! Staff was nice and helpful. The welcome drink was nice, did not expect to get it.Shower was great, hot water and pressure was fine. They didn’t provide towel inside the room, but you can rent it on the front office for 10k Rupiahs

I can not say enough great things about the atmosphere of this hostel. Sam is the greatest ever! He knows how to bring everyone together without making it feel forced. Met some incredible people here at this hostel! The pool, people, and property is incredible. It has the right balance of party and chill here. The only thing is it could use some up keeping such as the cushions are stained and Jacuzzi wasn't working but other than that everything else was perfect. Location was perfect just around the corner from the Main Street with all the restaurants.

Amazing place. Nice people, friendly staff. Manager is a legend. Rooms are clean and have air conditioning and all have private bathroom. Prices for food are affordable and food is super yummy. They have events every day!

My stay here was very enjoyable! Nice, clean rooms, the swimming pool was amazing as well. At night we had a lot of fun at the bar, and one of the bartenders, Sam, was so nice and actually took us to some parties in kuta. Would definitely recommend!

I had a lovely time at Mad Mokey Kuta. It is a lovely hostel with a chilled vibe, really clean and open. Great pool! The wifi works well in case you want to work from there. The beds and the huge blanket was super cozy and comfortable, I had a great sleep there. The rooms were cleaned every day. They try to engage the people from the hostel by doing different things such as trivia or beerpong night hosted by the lovely Sam (staff member) who is always up for a chat and is just an awesome host, very helpful, funny and enthusiastic. Thanks for the great time there!

The service was amazing and we had a lot of fun with one of the staff members Sam!! The breakfast at the hostel is delicious and the local community is very kind. I would definitely recommend the stay for backpackers.

The previous bad reviews are unfair! The hostel is actually really nice, as are the staff. They offer a free cocktails at the bar from 6-6:30 every day as well :)
