Where is Mad Monkey Gili Trawangan?
Gili Trawangan is a small island off of mainland Lombok and part of Gili Islands including Gili Air and Gili Meno. It takes just an hour and a half from Bali. “Gili T” is 3 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide — the perfect little slice of paradise! There are no motor vehicles allowed on the island so most visitors walk or cycle around.
How to get to Mad Monkey Gili Trawangan?
From Bali: Taking a fast boat is the best option to save time. The boat travels directly from Padang Bai to Gili Trawangan, with a travel time of only 2.5 hours. If you’re not in a rush and plan to visit Lombok island first, you can take a public ferry from Padang Bai to Lembar harbor, which takes around 4-5 hours. After that, take a taxi to Bangsal port (1.5 hours), then take a public boat to Gili Trawangan (30 minutes).
From Lombok: If you’re arriving from Lembar port, take a taxi to Bangsal port (1.5 hours), then take a public boat to Gili Trawangan, which takes around 30 minutes.

Once on Gili Trawangan: Head north from the Gili Trawangan pier for a short 750m stroll, then take a left at Blu d’a Mare onto Jalan Vila Kelapa. If you’re up for a walk to get your bearings, it should take around 25-30 minutes! While you might spot horse carriages along the way, we promote sustainable and animal-friendly transport. For a quicker option, consider riding a bike!
Once you reach the beach, turn right. Mad Monkey is just 2 minutes up the road—your beach paradise with the island’s best sunsets awaits!

Cancellation policy: Free Cancellation is available up to 24 hours of check-in time. If you cancel within 24 hours of check-in time, you will be charged the balance of your first night stay.
