The gist.

Visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site right here in Hoi An! Explore the ruined Hindu temples of the My Son Sanctuary, a former religious site of the Champa people of Central Vietnam. Witness traditional performances showcasing the authentic music, dance, and cultural dress of this region, and attend a rice paper making workshop before returning to Hoi An in style, sailing down the scenic Thu Bon River.

    9:00 AM — Explore My Son Sanctuary

    Spend 2 hours walking through the ancient site learning about the history of the Champa Kingdom, and watch cultural performances by local people.

    11:00 AM — Rice paper making

    Visit a traditional-style house to see how rice paper is made, then try it yourself.

    12:00 PM — Lunch at a local house, then a Thu Bon river boat trip

    Relax after lunch before taking a boat trip down the scenic Thu Bon river back to Hoi An.
