Description

Visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site right here in Hoi An. The local My Son Temple provides a stunning landscape, and includes the experience of watching Cham Dancers perform, the opportunity to make traditional rice paper and enjoy some local lunch, all before enjoying a boat ride down the river back to Hoi An.

Need to know info:
  • Meet at reception at 12:45 PM
  • Includes transportation, a snack, and a bottle of water
  • Bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and a hat
  • Fully refundable 24+ hours from start time or if cancelled by Mad Monkey.

Itinerary:

  • 1:00 PM : Depart Mad Monkey and travel via minibus to My Son Sanctuary (about 1.5 hrs)
  • 2:30 PM : Arrive at My Son sanctuary and spend 2 hours walking through the ancient site learning about the history of the Champa Kingdom, and witness cultural performances from the local people.
  • 4:30 PM : Visit a traditional style house and see how rice paper is made before trying it out yourself .
  • 5:00 PM : Have dinner at another local house, spend some time relaxing here before taking a boat trip down the scenic Thu Bon river en route back to Hoi An
  • 6:30 PM : Arrive back at Mad Monkey;
