Where is Mad Monkey Koh Rong Samloem?
Koh Rong Samloem is an island off the south coast of Cambodia. It’s located just southeast of the more heavily-visited Koh Rong island.
How to get to Mad Monkey Koh Rong Samloem
To get out to Koh Rong Samloem, you’ll first need to get to Sihanoukville. Buses run to Sihanoukville regularly from all major Cambodian cities (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Kampot) and from Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam. Some local budget airlines run flights to Sihanoukville. Check out Cambodia Angkor Air or Cambodia Bayon Airlines.
Guests need to go to Sihanoukville Port Autonomous to get the speed ferry to Koh Rong Samloem. Although there are several ferry companies operating out of Sihanoukville — we recommend GTVC and BuvaSea, both of which leave from Sihanoukville Port Autonomous.
The Mad Monkey long tail boat will pick you up where the ferry drops you off at one of Koh Rong Samloem’s major ports. The exact drop-off location is subject to change by season, but our Mad Monkey team always knows where the boat will be.
You will find Mad Monkey’s private boat (it’s orange with pirate flags) waiting at the port to take all Mad Monkey guests the rest of the way to our private bay. One of our Customer Experience Reps will be on the boat with you to answer any questions you may have, and get you excited for the epic time you’re about to have! Orchid Pier is currently out of service. Free pick-up from Song Nong pier and Freedom Pier at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m. OR when the ferry arrives. Departure from the pier may not be at these exact times, but rest assured our boat will be there.
When you’re leaving Mad Monkey Koh Rong Samloem, our boats depart at 8:40am, 11am, and the last boat leaves at 3pm every day. Again, the last boat leaves at 3pm.
